today has been a rather smooth day [ although it is not anywhere near over ] .. jarrod left around 10am and got home around 6pm .. so longer than usual. i was able to get some dishes and laundry done in between bottles and cuddling. here's a couple of pictures from yesterday that jonathan took of the babies :
today, sawyer has cooperated well .. while his sister gave me a run for my money. she hasn't been pooping very much so i'm sure that's causing her some discomfort ''/ i was able to call JMA and schedule their appointment with dr. artman! i'm so excited to see everyone and excited for them to get to see the twins.
tomorrow is the dreaded eye exams. i despise these appointments. one reason being that i'm a basket case when it comes to anything dealing with eyes. i've been this way ever since i was young and got a cut on some part of my eye and had to wear one of those horrible patches. can we say 'arrrrgg'. yeah .. pirates of the caribbean wasn't out when i was in middle school .. therefore i was not the cool kid with the pirate eye patch. so i think it scarred me. but back to the point dr. magolin .. but of course i pronounced it the first time [just in front of jarrod] 'mongolian' .. and now that's what we call him .. clamps open their eyes after dilating/numbing them and uses this prod thing to move the eyeball around. yeah. it's even worse than it sounds. they scream and cry the entire time and then he writes down his findings while i'm on edge if their eyes have matured etc. needless to say .. i'm not looking forward to tomorrow. BUT on the bright side .. we get out of the house :D
i am keeping payton's monitor off all day long and just putting it back on her at night. i think i'm more paranoid at night. sawyer has been without his for awhile now so i'm pretty comfortable with him not having his on. today is day 5 since payton has had her O2 so she should be pretty much good to go! i'm so proud of those two.
i'm trying to somewhat get my hair cut/colored at some point. i look a hot mess. although one of the nurses at SICC told me she loved my hair cut .. so it can't be that bad .. it just must be to me. i do feel slightly unattractive lately .. my hair and the fact that it looks like i haven't seen daylight in at least a year .. but i don't really have the money or time to waste on me.
july 9th was tallulah's birthday! she is exactly 28 years old in dog years. she is now the oldest female in the house. i should probably watch out. [28 dogs years = 3 people years] but she was happy with her hot dogs with melted cheese for dinner (:
sawyer is 'cooing' a lot the past couple of days and smiling at us! payton will smile once in awhile .. mostly when she sleeps and hasn't started 'cooing' much .. once or twice .. but that counts!
that's pretty much it for today. nothing i couldn't handle (:
i found this online that i absolutely would wear. you know .. me being obsessed with cupcakes and all! it's perfect for fall/winter :D
